Measurements in wood
Display shows absolute moisture content between 6 and 30%, max error +/- 1%.
Green sector: 6-12% (air dry wood)
Yellow sector: 13-19% (critical moisture content)
Red sector: 20-30% (high moisture content)
Most paint and gloss manufacturers will indicate on their packaging what moisture content is acceptable in the material to be coated.
Measurements in plaster and brick
Display shows relative moisture content between 0 and 100%.
By measuring at various points of, for instance, a damp wall, the source of the moisture can be established. By measuring at different times, an increase/deer ease of the moisture content can be detected and the cause can be narrowed down.

Compensates for different temperatures between 0 and 50° Celsius.
Simply Switch on by removing safety cover, check that operating light is on, just press probes lightly into the material to be tested.
Extension probes for inaccessible places. Slide measuring head sideways and detach.

- Hammer Electrode-
For use on very hard woods and for measuring moisture content at the centre of beams. The long insulated probes measure internal moisture content independent of surface moisture.
